CUH Associate & Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026

Central University of Haryana (CUH) is hiring 16 Associate Professors and Assistant Professors in the School of Basic Sciences, covering Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astrophysics. If you have a Ph.D. or a Master's degree with NET/SET as per UGC norms, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 31 August 2026. There is no written exam — selection is through screening and interview. All posts carry UGC pay scales under the 7th Pay Commission plus allowances, and selected candidates are covered under the New Pension Scheme.

Central University of Haryana (CUH) Associate Professor & Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 - 16 Posts

Central University of Haryana (CUH), established under Act No. 25 of 2009 of Parliament and located at Jant-Pali, Mahendergarh, Haryana, has released Employment Notice Advt. No. CUH/02/R/T/2026 dated 31 July 2026 for 16 teaching posts in the School of Basic Sciences. The recruitment covers Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions across the Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astrophysics departments. As a Central Government institution, these are permanent, pensionable teaching posts filled through all-India advertisement. If you are applying for more than one post or department, you must submit a separate application and pay the fee separately for each. CUH has also released a separate Employment Notice, Advt. No. CUH/03/R/T/2026 (also dated 31 July 2026), for additional teaching posts — so make sure you apply against the correct advertisement number for these Basic Science posts.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: As per the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers, 2018 (as amended), you need a Ph.D. with a good teaching/research record for Associate Professor, or a Master's Degree with NET/SET/SLET (or Ph.D.) for Assistant Professor, in the concerned subject. AICTE/NCTE/PCI norms apply where relevant.
• Ph.D. Compliance Certificate: If you are applying for Assistant Professor, you must submit a certificate confirming your Ph.D. is awarded in compliance with UGC Regulations.
• Foreign Ph.D. holders must attach an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi — without this, your application will be summarily rejected.
• You can apply as an Indian National, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).
• Your eligibility (qualification and experience) is assessed as on the last date of the advertisement, so make sure you meet the criteria by then.
• It is your own responsibility to check that you meet the eligibility criteria before applying — supplying false information or fake documents will lead to disqualification, even after appointment.

Salary

• All posts carry UGC pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission, plus admissible allowances.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Central Government/UGC norms.
• Selected candidates are covered under the New Pension Scheme of the Government of India, as extended by the UGC.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable)
• SC / ST / PwBD / Women candidates: No fee
• If you apply for more than one post or department, you must pay the fee separately for each application. Fees once paid will not be refunded, except if the University withdraws the advertisement.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Your qualifications and experience are checked against the eligibility criteria for the post and discipline you applied for.
2. Interview: The University may also assess your teaching or research ability through a seminar, lecture, or classroom discussion at the interview stage, including your ability to use the latest technology in teaching and research.

Final selection is based on merit through an all-India advertisement, decided by the duly constituted Selection Committees of the University. The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill up any of the advertised posts, and its decision in case of any dispute is final.
