IIT Gandhinagar has released Advertisement No. SPON/10455/Advt0297 for one Project Engineer (Device Reliability) post under Prof. Nihar Ranjan Mohapatra's SAMARTH project (Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Research and Training Hub) in the Electrical Engineering department. This is a temporary, project-based position for one year, extendable based on your performance. The role focuses on semiconductor device and process reliability research, so if you have hands-on experience with device characterization and reliability testing, this is a great opportunity to work on India's semiconductor ecosystem.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Materials Science with a very good academic record throughout, OR M.Tech/M.S. or equivalent in the same disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in Teaching, Research, Industrial or Design roles in a reputed organization.
• Academic Record: You need at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from Graduation onwards, and 55% marks in Class 10th and 12th.
• Skills: Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, fabrication processes, and reliability testing methods. Experience with parameter analysers, probe stations, and tools like Python or MATLAB is preferred.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,25,000, including HRA, depending on your qualification and experience.
• The appointment is for one year, extendable further based on your performance.

Selection Process

Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call for the next stage. IIT Gandhinagar will shortlist candidates based on their qualification and relevant experience:
