IIT Indore Deputy System Manager Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) has released notification (Advt. No. IITI/Rect./NT-01/03/2026) for 1 Deputy System Manager post. IIT Indore is an Institute of National Importance and one of the second-generation IITs established by the Ministry of Education. It was ranked the 12th top Engineering Institute in India by NIRF 2025. This is a great opportunity for IT professionals to work at a premier academic institute with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Who Can Apply?

Option 1 — M.E./M.Tech or MCA:

• Qualification: M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) or MCA with First Class
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience

Option 2 — B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. (CS):

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. (Computer Science) with First Class
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a reputed IT organization

Desirable Qualifications:

• Professional certifications like RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, VMware, or firewall certifications (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Sophos)
• Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, ITIL/COBIT/ISO 27001
• Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure — servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and data center operations
• Experience in systems administration (Linux/Windows), virtualization (VMware/XCP-ng/KVM)
• Experience with HPC systems and large-scale institutional IT environments
• Skills in automation/scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Experience in drafting IT policies, SOPs, and compliance documents

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) or reputed educational institutes.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years (as on 21 April 2026 — the last date of online application)
• Age relaxation of 5 years for candidates serving in Central/State Government or Autonomous Bodies in a regular position with at least 3 years of continuous service
• Age relaxation of 5 years for staff engaged at IIT Indore through contract, outsource agency, project, or Section 8 companies established by IIT Indore — with at least 5 years of continuous service

Salary

• Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission: Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (basic pay)
• Entry-level basic pay: Rs. 56,100 per month
• Estimated gross salary (with DA, HRA, TA): approximately Rs. 89,000 to Rs. 1,05,000 per month depending on city classification
• You will also get DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per Central Government rules
• New Pension Scheme (NPS) applicable

Selection Process

Selection may include one or more of the following stages:

1. Screening / Shortlisting: Based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed. The institute may restrict the number of candidates called for further stages.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Job Suitability Test: As decided by the institute. Only qualified candidates move to further rounds.
3. Interview / Personality Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview via registered email.
4. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified before final selection.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending any stage of the selection process.
