The Research & Development Office of IIT Gandhinagar has released Advertisement No. SPON/70241/Advt0283, dated 22 July 2026, for 1 Research Associate-I position under Prof. Superb Kumar Misra in the Materials Engineering department. This is a project-based role on the sponsored project titled "MOF-Based Multifunctional Nano Platform for Cartilage Regeneration". The appointment is initially for 1 year, extendable based on your performance — a good opportunity if you want hands-on research experience in nanomaterials and drug-delivery systems. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nanotechnology, or a closely related discipline. Candidates who have already submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply.
• Academic record: You need at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) from graduation onward, and 55% in Class 10 and 12.
• Preferred experience: Hands-on skills in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques such as qRT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, or confocal microscopy.
• Preferred experience: Background in immunology or inflammatory disease models, and in nanoparticle, liposome, hydrogel, or MOF-based drug delivery systems.
• Other skills: Experience with animal handling and preclinical studies, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 54,200, which already includes House Rent Allowance.
• The HRA component is Rs. 7,200 per month, where applicable.
