The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has released an advertisement for 1 Project Engineer II post at its Centre for Research Commercialization (CRC), a project led by Prof. Amit Prashant. This is a one-year contractual position for a senior full-stack developer who can design and build software solutions and mentor junior engineers. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you meet any one of the education-plus-experience combinations below, all requiring experience as a software developer or engineer:

• Ph.D. or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• M.Tech / M.S. / M.Phil. or equivalent in a relevant discipline with at least 4 years of experience.
• B.Tech / B.E. / M.Sc / MCA in an appropriate discipline with at least 6 years of experience.
• BCA / B.Sc / BA in an appropriate discipline with at least 10 years of experience.

You need a minimum of 60% (or equivalent grade) from graduation onwards and 55% in Class 10 and Class 12.

• Strong Python and Django development experience
• Database design with PostgreSQL and NoSQL/MongoDB
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure
• API development, ETL processes, and data pipelines
• Version control with Git, plus knowledge of DevSecOps and Agile development

Age Limit

• Your age should not be more than 40 years as on the last date of application (11 July 2026).
• Age and qualification relaxation may be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates with prior approval of IIT Gandhinagar.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 63,000 to Rs. 1,00,000, including HRA.
• Your exact pay within this range depends on your qualification and experience.
• House accommodation may be provided on a payment basis, if applicable.

Selection Process

The selection happens in these stages:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened and only candidates with better qualifications and relevant experience are shortlisted.
2. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates may have to appear for a written test at the IIT Gandhinagar campus.
3. Personal Interview: A personal interview follows to assess your technical and problem-solving skills.
