The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has released Advertisement No. SPON/10455/Advt0277 dated 16 July 2026 for 2 Project Attendant-II posts under Prof. Nihar Ranjan Mohapatra in the Electrical Engineering department. The positions support the SAMARTH project (Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Research and Training Hub) and involve day-to-day operation of its laboratories and cleanroom facility. This is a one-year temporary position, extendable based on satisfactory performance, and suits Diploma holders comfortable working with lab equipment, materials and inventory in a semiconductor research setting. Prior exposure to semiconductor processing laboratories is a real advantage for this role.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A Diploma (3 years duration) after 12th in an appropriate discipline, along with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Marks Requirement: You need a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade from Class 10th onwards.
• Preferred Experience: Prior exposure to semiconductor processing laboratories, along with the ability to operate and maintain laboratory tools and equipment.
• Other Skills: Good communication skills and a basic understanding of government procurement rules and regulations.

• You should be up to 35 years old as on the last date of submitting your application, i.e. 31 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 36,000, including HRA, based on your qualification and experience.
