Who Can Apply?

You need a strong academic record along with hands-on technical expertise in wireless systems to be eligible for this role.

• Qualification: Ph.D. (thesis submitted, defended, or degree already awarded) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics or other relevant areas.
• Academic Record: Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from graduation onwards, and minimum 55% in Class X and XII.
• Core Expertise: You must show expertise in at least one of these areas — Wireless Communications and Networks, Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radio-based Wireless Systems Design, or RF and High-frequency Circuit Design.
• Desirable Skills: Experience with general-purpose programming (MATLAB, Python, C++), microcontroller/embedded systems programming, Software Defined Radios such as USRPs, RF testing tools like spectrum analysers and VNAs, RF circuit fabrication and post-design verification, and antenna theory will strengthen your application.

What Will You Work On?

You will help set up a new research program that studies next-generation wireless systems using real-world prototypes. The work brings together theoretical ideas from signal processing with actual hardware building and testing. Depending on your background and interests, your work may lean more towards theory, more towards prototyping, or a mix of both. Beyond lab work, you will also lead and contribute to writing research papers and support any intellectual property (IP) development that comes out of the project.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 72,000 to Rs. 84,000, based on your qualifications and experience.
• The appointment is for 1 year, extendable further based on your performance.
