Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) has invited applications for 1 Project Associate-II post in an ANRF-PMECRG sponsored research project. The project is titled "Interfacial Structure and Stability of Light Weight High Strength Aluminum Matrix Composites Reinforced with Al-Cu-Fe based Quasicrystals", led by Dr. Yagnesh Shadangi from the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. This is a 2-year contract position that suits engineering postgraduates who want hands-on research experience in advanced materials.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Tech and M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or an equivalent branch.
• GATE: You must have qualified GATE in any engineering discipline at least once.
• Desirable: A strong background in materials processing, structural and microstructural characterization, and mechanical testing is preferred.

Age Limit

• Age limit is as per Institute norms and sponsoring agency rules.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 42,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• The position is purely on a project basis under the funding agency rules.

Selection Process

Selection is done in these steps:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened and only shortlisted candidates are called further.
2. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for an online interview. If many candidates are shortlisted, the committee may limit the number based on qualifications and experience.

No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
