Who Can Apply?

Business Development Consultant

• Qualification: You need an MBA/PGDM/equivalent qualification, or B.E./B.Tech with strong relevant experience.
• Experience: You need 8 to 15 years in corporate training sales, executive education, learning and development, or institutional partnerships.
• Preferred background: Prior experience in executive education or B-school business development is preferred.
• Skills: You should have a strong corporate network and good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Corporate Relations Consultant

• Qualification: You need an MBA/PGDM/equivalent qualification, or a strong HR/talent acquisition background.
• Experience: You need 5 to 10 years in placements, talent acquisition, HR business development, or corporate recruitment.
• Preferred background: Experience in a B-school placement office is desirable.
• Skills: You should have a recruiter network and strong relationship management ability.

Alumni Engagement & International Collaboration Consultant

• Qualification: You need an MBA/PGDM/equivalent qualification.
• Experience: You need 5 to 10 years in alumni relations, fundraising, community engagement, institutional partnerships, CSR, or related work.
• Preferred skills: Experience in CRM/database management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement will help.
• Work area: The role includes alumni city chapters, mentorship programmes, fundraising support, and international outreach.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 60 years for all three consultant posts.
• Age reference date: Age will be checked as on the application closing date, which is 8 July 2026.
• Relaxation: The notification does not mention separate age relaxation.

Salary

• Monthly salary: Rs. 2,00,000 + GST for each consultant post.
• Annual salary: Rs. 24,00,000 + GST.
• Retired Government officials: Pay will follow DoPT guidelines, calculated as Last Pay Drawn minus Pension.
• Tax and GST: GST is reimbursable against valid tax invoices, and TDS will be deducted as applicable.
• Benefits: Health insurance premium up to Rs. 10,000 per year for a family of up to four can be reimbursed.
• Not included: No PF, ESI, gratuity, HRA, or travel allowance is admissible.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

IIM Mumbai will select candidates through a 100-mark assessment. The notice does not mention any written exam.

1. Relevant Experience and Track Record (30 marks): Your work history and results in the relevant domain will be reviewed.
2. Concept Note (25 marks): You must submit a concept note showing your strategy for the post you choose.
3. Network Strength (25 marks): Your corporate, recruiter, alumni, or stakeholder network will be assessed based on the role.
4. Interview Performance (20 marks): Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview before the selection committee.
5. Final Approval: Candidates scoring 60 or above out of 100 may be considered for empanelment, and final selection will need Director approval.

Performance review will be done every year by a review committee. Renewal needs at least 70% annual KPI achievement, and engagement beyond Year 3 will need a fresh EOI and selection process.
