ICAR-NIPB Scientific Administrative Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR-NIPB), Lal Bahadur Shastri Building, Pusa Campus, New Delhi has released Advertisement No. 4001-650/432475/Sci. Admin. Asstt. for one Scientific Administrative Assistant post under a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project. The project title is "Leveraging Wild Rice Genetic Resources to Identify and Characterize Genomic Loci Conferring Anaerobic Germination Tolerance, Early Seedling Vigor, and Root Plasticity for Adaptation to Dry Direct Seeding in Rice." The engagement is for one year from the date of appointment, or till the project ends, whichever is earlier.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Desirable: Experience of working in a laboratory set-up with skills in handling laboratory equipment, maintaining plant growth facilities in green house and tissue culture laboratory, keeping official records, and knowledge of Government of India purchase procedures.
• You must be an Indian national.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 50 years (as per DBT guidelines)
• No specific minimum age mentioned in the notification.

Salary

• Fixed emoluments: Rs. 18,000 per month + 27% HRA
• The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis. The total tenure is one year, extendable only till the project ends.
• The position can be terminated with one month's notice if circumstances change.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is by walk-in interview only — there is no written exam.
