Responsibilities
- Handle legal opinions on issues referred to IBM departments and offices.
- Prepare para-wise comments for OAs, writ petitions, SLPs, and PILs filed against the department.
- Review counter affidavits received from standing counsel against approved comments.
- Maintain the list of pending court cases and update case movement regularly.
- Monitor hearings and assist the department during court proceedings when required.
- Draft petitions, applications, affidavits, appeals, contracts, and service agreements.
- Support policy and legal matters placed before IBM by the competent authority.
- Follow confidentiality rules under the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
