Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) Multi Purpose Health Supervisor Recruitment 2026 - 119 Posts

The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) has released Advertisement No. 452/202627 to fill 119 Multi Purpose Health Supervisor, Class-3 posts under the Office of the Additional Director (Public Health), Gandhinagar. A Health Supervisor guides and monitors the work of Multi Purpose Health Workers at the field level, so this role is a natural next step if you already have grassroots health experience. These 119 posts are open only to male candidates as per the government notification. Online applications are accepted through the OJAS website, and the board has noted that the final number of posts may increase or decrease before selection is complete.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need any one of these — a one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or diploma course, a one-year Diploma in Sanitary Inspector, or a one-year Health Sanitary Inspector course from an ITI or any government-recognised institution.
• Computer Knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Government rules.
• Language: You should know Gujarati or Hindi (or both).
• Gender: This recruitment is open only to male candidates — women cannot apply for these 119 posts.
• Domicile: Reservation benefits under SC/ST/SEBC/EWS apply only to candidates who are original residents of Gujarat under the respective category.

Of the 119 posts, 51 are Unreserved, 32 for SEBC, 17 for ST, 11 for EWS and 8 for SC candidates. 5 posts are earmarked for candidates with benchmark disabilities, and 11 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen within these categories. Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 33 years old as on 15 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Reserved-category male candidates get 5 years (up to 38 years). General-category candidates with a disability get 10 years (up to 43 years), and reserved-category candidates with a disability get 15 years (up to 45 years).
• Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their years of service plus 3 more years.

Salary

• For the first 5 years, you get a fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month.
• After 5 years of satisfactory service, you move to the regular 7th Pay Commission Level-4 scale of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Gujarat Government rules once you are on the regular scale.

• Unreserved category: Rs. 500
• Women (all categories), SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD and Ex-servicemen: Rs. 400
• The fee is refunded to candidates who appear for the exam.

Selection Process

Selection happens in two steps:

1. Written Exam (CBRT/OMR based MCQ): One question paper with 210 questions for 210 marks, split into Part A (90 marks — Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, and Gujarati/English Comprehension) and Part B (120 marks — subject knowledge related to the Health Supervisor field). You get 3 hours for both parts combined.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called to verify their certificates before the final merit list is prepared.

There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, and you need at least 40% marks in both Part A and Part B to qualify. The exam is tentatively planned for November 2026. GSSSB will first publish a provisional answer key and accept objections before releasing the final answer key and the provisional result.
