The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB), on behalf of the Commissionerate of Industries under the Industries and Mines Department, has released Advertisement No. 451/2026-27 for 1 post of Senior Industries Inspector, Class-3. This is a Special Recruitment Drive reserved only for Divyang (Persons with Disabilities) candidates in the Low Vision category (40% to 70% disability). Who Can Apply?

• Experience: About 2 years of experience as a Junior Industries Inspector, Class-3 (or equivalent), in a government body or in production/manufacturing at a company, corporation, or local body.
• Other requirements: Basic computer knowledge, and a working knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both).
• Disability: Only candidates with a benchmark Low Vision (LV) disability of 40% to 70% are eligible for this specific post.
• Scribe/Compensatory Time: Candidates with a benchmark disability that affects their writing ability can request a scribe or extra compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour during the written exam, as per government rules.
• You must be a citizen of India and meet the domicile requirements under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 10 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Persons with disabilities get 10 years relaxation (General category, male), 15 years (General category female, or Reserved category male), or 20 years (Reserved category female), as per government rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 49,600 per month for the first five years of service.
• After five years of satisfactory service, you will be placed on the regular 7th Pay Commission Level-7 pay scale of Rs. 39,900 to Rs. 1,26,500 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Gujarat government rules once regularized.

Selection Process

Selection for this post is done in the following stages:

1. Written Exam (CBRT/OMR, MCQ-based): A single-stage exam with Part-A (90 questions, 90 marks) covering Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, and Constitution of India/Current Affairs/Gujarati & English Comprehension, plus Part-B (120 questions, 120 marks) on your technical/engineering subject. You get 3 hours (180 minutes) for both parts combined, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
2. Merit List: Prepared based on your combined marks in Part-A and Part-B, subject to a minimum qualifying standard of 40% in each part.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for verification.
