Tinsukia Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Tinsukia has released a recruitment advertisement to fill 5 purely temporary and contractual posts at the Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC), under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Assam. Only permanent residents of Assam can apply for these posts. The Sakhi One Stop Centre is set up under the Mission Shakti scheme and provides integrated support to women affected by violence and distress — including medical aid coordination, police assistance, legal aid, psychological counselling and temporary shelter. The 5 posts being filled cover counselling, IT support, general centre support and security duties.

Who Can Apply?

Psycho-Social Counsellor (1 post):

  • You need a Post Graduate Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Psychology, or as a Psychotherapist.
  • You need at least 3 years of experience working with Government or Non-Government health projects at the district level.

IT/Office Assistant (1 post):

  • You need a Bachelor's Degree with a Diploma in Computers.
  • You need at least 3 years of experience in data management, process documentation, or web-based reporting at the District/State level.

Multi Purpose Worker (1 post):

  • You should be literate, with knowledge and experience in the relevant field.
  • Candidates with at least a High School qualification will be preferred; preference is also given to women candidates.

Security (2 posts):

  • You need at least 2 years of experience as Security Personnel in a Government or reputed organization at the District/State level.
  • Preference is given to retired military/paramilitary personnel.

Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply for any of these posts. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: OBC/MOBC candidates get 3 years, SC/ST(Hills)/ST(Plains) candidates get 5 years, and PwD candidates get 10 years.

Salary

  • Psycho-Social Counsellor: Rs. 25,000 per month
  • IT/Office Assistant: Rs. 20,000 per month
  • Multi Purpose Worker: Rs. 14,000 per month
  • Security: Rs. 12,000 per month

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

  1. Personal Interview for all posts.
  2. Practical Skill Test (only for IT/Office Assistant candidates).
  3. Viva-Voce (only for IT/Office Assistant candidates).

Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID and the office notice board. The authority reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling and psychosocial support to survivors of violence and distress
  • Maintain case records and coordinate referrals with other departments and agencies
  • Handle data entry, documentation and web-based reporting for the centre
  • Manage office correspondence, records and day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Support the daily upkeep of the centre and assist visitors as needed
  • Guard the premises and monitor the entry and exit of visitors
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain the safety of the centre round the clock
  • Follow all guidelines laid down by Mission Shakti and the Department of Women and Child Development

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Varies by post: Post Graduate Degree (Psycho-Social Counsellor), Bachelor's Degree with Computer Diploma (IT/Office Assistant), literate with relevant field knowledge (Multi Purpose Worker), relevant security experience (Security)

Preferred Qualification

High School qualification and women candidates preferred for Multi Purpose Worker; retired military/paramilitary personnel preferred for Security

Required Skills

Counselling and case management (Psycho-Social Counsellor); computer and data management skills (IT/Office Assistant)

Age Limit

21 - 40 years (as on 01 Jan 2026)
