FDDI Ankleshwar is hiring 4 people for its School of Fashion Design and School of Footwear Design and Development - 3 Junior Faculty posts and 1 Lab Assistant post, all on an ad-hoc basis. Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) Ankleshwar Ad-hoc Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

FDDI, a national institution under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has invited applications for Junior Faculty and Academic Support Staff at its Ankleshwar campus (Advertisement No. FDDI/ANK/HR/ADHOC/REQ/01 dated 10 August 2026). The institute needs 3 Junior Faculty across Design Process, Illustration & CAD, and Footwear New Product Development, plus 1 Lab Assistant for Pattern Making & Garment Construction, to meet urgent academic requirements. These are all ad-hoc posts with an initial tenure of 6 months, extendable for another 6 months based on institutional need. SC/ST/OBC/EWS and differently-abled candidates are encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

Junior Faculty - Design Process (School of Fashion Design):

• Master's Degree (minimum 2 years after graduation) in Fashion Design/Apparel Design/Lifestyle Accessory Design/Knitwear Design/Leather Design/Textile Design with minimum 55% marks
• At least 3 years of academic and/or industry experience in the Design Process field; teaching experience at UG level or higher is an advantage

Junior Faculty - Illustration & CAD (School of Fashion Design):

• Master's Degree in Fashion Design/Graphic Design/Communication Design/Apparel Design/Knitwear Design/Leather Design/Textile Design/Fashion Technology with minimum 55% marks
• At least 3 years of industry or academic experience in Illustration and CAD, with hands-on skills in Corel, Photoshop, TukaCAD, and other fashion design software

Junior Faculty - New Product Development (School of Footwear Design and Development):

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree (2 years after graduation) with a 1-year diploma in Footwear Manufacturing/Footwear Design/Footwear Production (min. 55% marks), OR a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Footwear Technology with specialization in Design (min. 55% marks)
• At least 3 years of academic or industry experience in Footwear Design; knowledge of 2D and 3D shoe design software is desirable

Lab Assistant - Pattern Making & Garment Construction (School of Fashion Design):

• Essential: 12th Pass (Desirable: 10th Pass)
• You should be able to operate and sew garments and repair sewing machines such as lock stitch, overlock, and flatlock

• General category: up to 35 years
• OBC: up to 38 years
• SC/ST: up to 40 years
• PwD: up to 45 years

Salary

• Junior Faculty posts: Rs. 50,000 per month (consolidated pay)
• Lab Assistant (Academic Support Cadre): Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated pay)
• Regular pay scales do not apply - this is a fixed consolidated salary. No HRA, LTC, or medical benefits are admissible; temporary accommodation may be available at the institute's discretion on payment of charges.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
