Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Naroda-Bapunagar, Ahmedabad has issued Advertisement No. 02 of 2026 to fill 33 teaching faculty posts across 23 clinical and para-clinical departments including General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology and more. These are contractual posts for 3 years at the outset, extendable by 2 more years based on your performance, subject to a maximum tenure of 5 years or 70 years of age, whichever comes first. Retired or currently working professors can also apply, and there is no written exam — selection is based on documents and an interview.

Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease based on actual requirement.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree with MD/MS/DNB or another postgraduate qualification as per the latest National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI) guidelines applicable to the post you apply for
• Registration: You must have a valid, updated Medical Registration (NMC or State Medical Council)
• Retired Candidates: Retired or currently working professors are also eligible to apply
• Multiple Posts: You can apply for more than one post if you meet the eligibility for each, but you must submit a separate application and fee for every post

Age Limit

• You should not exceed 69 years of age as on 3 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: As per prevailing Government of India norms for reserved categories.
• Your maximum tenure in this role ends at 70 years of age, whichever comes earlier.

Salary

• Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,18,500 per month (Level 13) + other allowances
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 per month (Level 12) + other allowances
• Assistant Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month (Level 11) + other allowances
• Non-medical officers, if selected, are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).
• You will not get regular service benefits like PF, Pension or Gratuity since this is a contractual post.

Application Fee

• All Other Categories: Rs. 500
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1" payable at Ahmedabad
• Fees once paid are non-refundable.
• You also need to submit a Security Deposit via Demand Draft on joining: Rs. 1,00,000 (Professor), Rs. 75,000 (Associate Professor), Rs. 50,000 (Assistant Professor) — refundable after successful completion of your contract.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this recruitment. Selection happens through:

1. Document Verification: Bring your offline application form and self-attested copies of all required documents to the interview venue for verification with originals.
2. Interview: Only candidates cleared in document verification appear before the Interview Board, which evaluates your academic credentials and interview performance.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Results will be published only on the ESIC website, and the offer of appointment will be sent by email only.

4. Reach between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on 3 August 2026 — candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will be treated as absent.
5. Carry a Demand Draft for the application fee (if applicable) in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1" payable at Ahmedabad.
6. Submit a separate application and fee for each post if you are applying for more than one.
