ECHS Jamnagar Medical Officer & Nursing Assistant Recruitment 2026 — 3 Posts

Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Station Headquarters, Jamnagar under the Ministry of Defence is hiring contractual staff for its polyclinics in Rajkot and Jamnagar, Gujarat. ECHS runs a network of over 427 polyclinics across India providing healthcare to ex-servicemen and their dependents. These are contractual positions — 1 year for ex-servicemen (ESM) and 11 months for civilian candidates. Both ESM and civilian candidates who meet the qualifications can apply.

Note: 60% of Medical Officer posts and 70% of Nursing Assistant posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

Who Can Apply?

For Medical Officer

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised university
• Experience: Minimum 3 years after internship
• Preferred: Additional qualifications in Medicine or Surgery

For Nursing Assistant (General)

• Qualification: GNM Diploma or Class I Nursing Assistant Course from Armed Forces
• Experience: Minimum 5 years
• Preferred: Any Diploma or Course in Specialty Nursing with experience of more than 10 years

Age Limit

• Medical Officer: Maximum 68 years
• Nursing Assistant: Maximum 58 years

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs. 95,000 per month (fixed, contractual)
• Nursing Assistant: Rs. 36,500 per month (fixed, contractual)

No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through interview only — there is no written exam:

1. Interview: Date and venue will be informed later through email or phone call
2. Document Verification: You must bring all original documents at the time of interview
3. Medical Exam: Medical fitness certificate is required

2. Fill in the application form completely.
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all educational qualifications, work experience, and medical fitness certificate.
4. ESM candidates must get their application from Military Hospital. Civilian candidates must get it from an authorised Government Hospital.

• Manage medical supplies, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure polyclinic readiness
