Who Can Apply?

• Educational qualification: You must have B.E. (Civil) or B.Tech (Civil) from a recognised university.
• Experience route: You need 3 years of relevant experience in a Class 1 role or 5 years in a Class 2 role with a government, semi-government body, board, corporation, or a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013.
• Higher qualification: If candidates have equal marks in qualifying merit, a relevant higher educational qualification gets preference.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old on 15 September 2026.
• General women: 5 years of upper-age relaxation.
• Reserved-category men: 5 years; reserved-category women: 10 years.
• General PwD men: 5 years; general PwD women: 10 years.
• Reserved PwD men: 10 years; reserved PwD women: 15 years.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation follows Gujarat Government rules.
• Age after the applicable relaxation cannot normally exceed 45 years. BMC employees are exempt from the standard limit but cannot be older than 58 years.

Salary

• The post is in 7th Pay Commission Pay Level 10.
• The monthly pay scale is Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500.
• The first 2 years are probation; regular appointment in the scale follows satisfactory completion of probation.
• Other benefits, if admissible, follow the rules applicable to BMC officers.

Application Fee

• Unreserved category: Rs. 1,000 plus postal service charges.
• Reserved category: Rs. 500 plus postal service charges.
• Other-state reserved applicants: Pay the unreserved fee because Gujarat reservation benefits do not apply.
• Payment mode: Print the OJAS challan and pay only at a computer-enabled post office.
• Fee deadline: 17 September 2026.

The application fee is not refundable. Keep the post-office challan and confirmed OJAS form because BMC can ask for them with supporting records during the later stages.

Selection Process

1. Online application screening: BMC will check the form against the degree, experience, age and other recruitment rules.
2. Initial merit and shortlisting: The Corporation may use qualifying marks and decide how many applicants to call for a written or oral test.
3. Written and oral tests, if both are held: Final merit will use 90% weight from the written test and 10% from the oral test.
4. Single test, if chosen: If the Selection Committee uses only the written or oral test, the applicable test result will decide merit under the notice.
5. Document check: BMC will check the Civil Engineering degree, experience records, computer proof, category documents and original certificates before appointment.

The written-test medium will follow the subject linked to the basic qualification or otherwise be Gujarati; English-subject questions remain in English. The notification does not give the number of questions, marks, duration or negative-marking rule.

7. Print the challan and pay the applicable fee at a computer-enabled post office by 17 September 2026.
8. Keep the form, challan, degree and experience documents ready. Send or present hard copies only when BMC asks.
