WCD Odisha Instructress and Assistant Instructress Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Odisha is arranging deputation placements at the State Institute for Women and Child Development (SIWC) in Bhubaneswar and Barpali. The Instructress and Assistant Instructress appointments bring serving departmental officers into these institutes, with a return to their parent district cadre after the deputation ends.

Posts and Disciplines

• Instructress: This role is attached to SIWC Bhubaneswar. The department handles its assessment separately from the Assistant Instructress role.
• Assistant Instructress: These placements cover SIWC Bhubaneswar and SIWC Barpali. The application form lets you state your preferred institute.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation period: Each term lasts three years and depends on satisfactory performance. You can serve a maximum of two terms under the stated arrangement.
• Return to your cadre: When the tenure ends, you go back to your parent district cadre. Keep this condition in mind when considering an institute preference.
• Previous SIWC service: The form asks whether you have worked at SIWC before, including the period and number of terms. Your earlier placement history therefore needs to be recorded accurately.
• Travel costs: The department will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the mock lecture.
• Department discretion: The number of available posts may change. The department makes the final decision on selection and posting, so your stated institute preference does not guarantee that placement.
