Who Can Apply?

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old on 15 September 2026.
• General women: 5 years of upper-age relaxation.
• Reserved-category men: 5 years; reserved-category women: 10 years.
• General PwD men: 5 years; general PwD women: 10 years.
• Reserved PwD men: 10 years; reserved PwD women: 15 years.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation follows Gujarat Government rules.
• Age after the applicable relaxation cannot normally exceed 45 years. BMC employees are not covered by the standard upper limit, but their maximum is 58 years.

Salary

• For the first 3 years, you will receive fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month.
• After satisfactory completion of that period, you can receive regular appointment in Pay Level 5, Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month under the 7th Pay Commission.
• Any other benefits will follow the rules applicable to BMC employees at the relevant stage.

Application Fee

• Unreserved category: Rs. 1,000 plus postal service charges.
• Reserved category: Rs. 500 plus postal service charges.
• Other-state reserved applicants: Pay the unreserved fee because Gujarat reservation benefits do not apply.
• Payment mode: Print the OJAS challan and pay only at a computer-enabled post office.
• Fee deadline: 17 September 2026.

The fee is not refundable. Keep the paid challan and confirmed application printout; BMC may ask you to send or present them with supporting certificates later.

Selection Process

1. Application screening: BMC will check the online details and use qualification marks to prepare the initial merit list for shortlisting.

4. Widow benefit: A widow applicant who meets the stated conditions gets 5% of her written-test marks added under the applicable rules.
5. Certificate check: BMC will check original education, category, disability, computer and other documents before appointment.

The test medium will match the course connected with the basic qualification, or otherwise be Gujarati; questions for the English subject will be in English. You must attend any test at your own expense.
