The pay scale is Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 under Pay Level-3.

The Central Reserve Police Force, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released the official notice dated 08 April 2026 for Constable recruitment across technical, tradesmen, and pioneer roles. The drive covers 9,175 Technical & Tradesmen posts and 20 Pioneer Wing posts. Technical and tradesmen vacancies are filled on a state or UT domicile basis, while Pioneer Wing vacancies are filled on an all-India basis.

The notice also includes 79 female vacancies in select trades and keeps 10% of vacancies earmarked for eligible ex-servicemen.

Who Can Apply?

You must be an Indian citizen and meet the trade-wise qualification rules as on 01 January 2026.

• Driver: 10th pass or equivalent plus a Heavy Transport Vehicle licence.
• Motor Mechanic Vehicle: 10th pass plus a 2-year ITI certificate in the trade with 1 year practical experience, or a 3-year apprenticeship certificate with 1 year experience.
• All other tradesmen posts: 10th pass or equivalent and you must be proficient in the trade.
• Pioneer Wing Mason / Electrician: 10th pass plus 1 year experience in the respective trade. Candidates with an ITI certificate get preference.

For Technical and Tradesmen posts, you must produce the Domicile or Permanent Residence Certificate of the same state or UT you entered in the online form. The notice clearly says that a mismatch at document verification will lead to cancellation. Persons with PwD categories are not eligible for these posts.

Age Limit

• Driver: 21 to 27 years as on 01 January 2026.
• All other trades, including Pioneer Wing: 18 to 23 years as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
• OBC: 3 years relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting military service from actual age.
• Children of 1984 riot victims: 5 years for UR, 8 years for OBC, and 10 years for SC/ST.

Salary

• Pay Level: Level-3 under the 7th CPC.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100.
• Allowances: Other admissible benefits are paid as per CRPF and Central Government rules.

Physical Standards

Height

• Male: 170 cm
• Female: 157 cm
• ST Male / Female: 162.5 cm / 150 cm
• North East states Male / Female: 162.5 cm / 152.5 cm
• Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra, Maratha, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Ladakh Male / Female: 165 cm / 155 cm

Chest

• General male standard: 80 cm unexpanded with 5 cm expansion.
• ST male standard: 76 cm unexpanded with 5 cm expansion.
• North East male standard: 77 cm unexpanded with 5 cm expansion.
• Female candidates: chest measurement is not taken.

Your weight must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS male candidates: Rs. 100 per post.
• SC / ST male candidates: No fee.
• Female candidates of all categories: No fee.
• Ex-Servicemen: No fee.
• Payment modes: BHIM, UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay, Debit or Credit Card, and CSC Wallet.

Selection Process

1. PET: The race standard depends on the trade. Driver and several technical trades require 5 km in 24 minutes for men, while Cook, Water Carrier, Barber, Washerman, and Safai Karmachari require 1.6 km in 10 minutes for men and 1.6 km in 12 minutes for women. Pioneer Wing men must complete 1.6 km in 9 minutes.
2. PST: Height, chest, and weight are checked using the standards in the notice.
3. Computer Based Test: You will face 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 2 hours. The paper covers General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. There is 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.
4. Trade or Skill Test: This is a 50-mark qualifying test. You must score at least 20 marks.
5. Document Verification: CRPF verifies your age, education, domicile, category, and trade certificates.
6. DME or RME: Detailed medical examination and, if needed, review medical examination follow.

The CBT qualifying cut-off is 30% for UR and 25% for EWS or OBC in Technical and Tradesmen posts, while Pioneer Wing requires 35% for UR and 33% for reserved categories.

3. Register with your mobile number and email ID, then fill the form carefully with the correct state or UT domicile and trade details.
4. Upload the required photograph, signature, and other details asked by the portal.
5. Pay the fee online if you are in a fee-paying category.
6. Submit the form before 19 May 2026 and keep the printout safely for later stages.

• Handle the assigned technical or tradesmen duty for your unit, such as driving, cooking, tailoring, masonry, or electrical work.
• Keep vehicles, tools, instruments, and trade equipment in working condition for daily force use.
• Work under CRPF operational discipline and follow all camp, security, and safety procedures.
• Assist in maintaining unit infrastructure, stores, kitchens, sanitation areas, or workshop spaces as required by the trade.
• Prepare trade-specific outputs such as meals, repairs, maintenance work, or band duties to the standard fixed by the force.
• Follow instructions during field deployment, training, and support assignments anywhere in India.
• Manage trade materials and report shortages, faults, or repair needs to the supervising officer.
• Support document checks, physical readiness, and medical fitness requirements throughout service.
