BKNMU Professor & Associate Professor Recruitment 2026

Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University (BKNMU), Junagadh is looking to fill 3 teaching positions across its postgraduate departments. This recruitment covers two separate advertisements -- a special PwD drive (Advt. 02/2026) and a second-attempt regular recruitment (Advt. 03/2026). Note: The Associate Professor post in Chemistry (Analytical) is currently in abeyance. Appointment orders for this post will be issued only after approval from the Finance/Education Department.

• University type: Gujarat Public University established under Gujarat Public Universities Act No. 15/2023
• Recruitment basis: Direct recruitment on regular (permanent) basis
• Professor pay: Level 14 with a pay range of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month
• Associate Professor pay: Level 13A with a pay range of Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month
• Governing rules: UGC Regulations 2018 and Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes-2024
• PwD candidates are fully exempted from application fees
• A 5% marks relaxation at Bachelor's and Master's level applies for candidates with specified disabilities

The selection process follows a merit-based approach. Candidates will first be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications, research publications, and teaching experience, scored using the UGC's Appendix II criteria. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview by the university's selection committee. Your research score plays a critical role here -- Professors need a minimum score of 120, while Associate Professors require at least 75.

1. Prepare your research score sheet early -- gather all publication proofs, journal impact factors, and SCOPUS/Web of Science records well before the deadline
2. Verify your experience documentation -- the university explicitly states that experience from self-financed institutions needs full salary proof including bank statements and IT returns

• Deliver lectures and conduct seminars for postgraduate students in the assigned subject area

• Conduct and publish independent research in peer-reviewed and UGC-listed journals
• Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and innovative pedagogy
• Participate in university examination duties and academic administration
• Undertake additional academic or administrative responsibilities as assigned by the university
