The Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Bihar has invited online applications for 203 posts of District Audit Officer and Senior Audit Officer on contractual basis. These officers will be deployed across various districts in Bihar for auditing panchayat accounts and financial records.

Who Can Apply?

• You need a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Final year students can also apply if they complete their degree by October 2026.
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 65 years (as on 30 December 2025)
• For contractual appointments, maximum age is 70 years.
• Age relaxation as per Bihar government norms for reserved categories.

• District Audit Officer (Level-7): 38 posts
• Senior Audit Officer (Level-6): 165 posts

Salary

• District Audit Officer (Level-7): Pay Level 7 under 7th CPC (Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400)
• Senior Audit Officer (Level-6): Pay Level 6 under 7th CPC (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400)

Exact contractual salary will be as per Bihar government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:
