Ordnance Factory Bhandara (OFBA), a manufacturing unit of Munitions India Limited (MIL) located in Jawaharnagar, Bhandara district of Maharashtra, has released a notification for the engagement of 50 Technician Apprentices (Diploma) under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This is a one-year training programme in engineering trades at one of India's key defence production facilities. No prior work experience is required — fresh diploma graduates are eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a full-time (regular) Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant trade — Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics — from a State Board of Technical Education, a recognised university, or an institute recognised by the Central or State Government.
• Mode of Study: Only candidates who have completed their diploma through full-time (regular) mode are eligible. Distance or part-time diploma holders are not eligible.
• Completion Date: Your diploma must have been completed after 15 April 2021. Diplomas completed before this date are not eligible.
• Gap: If the gap between your diploma completion and the apprenticeship joining date is more than 5 years, you are not eligible.
• Work Experience: If you have 1 year or more of work experience or have already undergone training after your diploma, you are not eligible.
• Higher Qualifications: Candidates who hold a graduate or post-graduate degree are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
• CGPA Grading: If your institution uses CGPA or SGPA, you must attach a conversion document from your college showing the equivalent percentage marks.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 14 years
• Maximum Age: No upper age limit
• Note: Candidates aged 14 to 18 years are minors and their apprenticeship contract must be signed by their guardian.

Stipend

• You will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,900 during the one-year training period.
• This is an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961. No employment in the factory is guaranteed after the training is complete. However, the apprenticeship certificate is widely recognised and adds value to your resume for government and private sector applications.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam or interview for this recruitment. Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Merit List: A merit list is prepared based on the marks you scored in your final year diploma examination (aggregate percentage). The higher your marks, the better your chance of selection.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original documents for verification at the factory.
3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates will undergo a medical fitness test.
4. Police Verification: A background check will be conducted before joining.
