Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) from a recognised Board.

Desirable Qualification

• Work experience in any of the fields: Plumbing, Electrical works, Pump operation, Carpentry, Gardening, Haircutting, Cooking, Laundry, Masonry, Watch-keeping, Housekeeping, or Safaiwala/Sanitary.
• An ITI certificate in the relevant trade will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements

• You must be an Indian Citizen.
• Caste certificate is compulsory for SC/ST/OBC candidates to claim reservation and fee concession.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 50 years old as on 31 May 2026.

Salary

• Basic salary: Rs. 18,000 per month (Pay Level-1 of 7th CPC)
• Rent-Free Accommodation provided at the school campus
• Transport Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable
• Medical Allowance as per Sainik Schools Society rules
• Contributory Pension under the New Pension Scheme (NPS)
• DCRG (Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity) on retirement

Selection Process

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Exam: Only shortlisted candidates who meet the essential qualification will be called for the written test. The exam date and venue will be published on the school website at ssjhunjhunu.com.
2. Skill Test: Candidates who clear the written exam with minimum qualifying marks (as decided by the recruitment board) will be called for a practical Skill Test in their relevant trade area.

No TA/DA is payable for attending the exam or skill test.

2. Fill in the form in capital letters and attach self-attested copies of all marksheets and certificates (from Class 10 onwards).
3. Attach two recent passport-size photographs and one self-addressed envelope with Rs. 56 stamp.
4. Attach a crossed Demand Draft (Rs. 500 for Gen/OBC; Rs. 250 for SC/ST) in favour of Principal, Sainik School Jhunjhunu.
5. Write "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF GENERAL EMPLOYEE (REGULAR)" in capital letters on top of the envelope.

• Perform watch-keeping or security duties during assigned shifts
