KVIC Delhi Young Professional Recruitment 2026: Overview

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, is engaging Young Professionals through its North Zone Office at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, New Delhi. This contractual recruitment supports the commission's efforts to strengthen the khadi and village industries sector and respond to changing organisational needs. The posting office depends on your discipline, with assignments spread across northern India.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Accounts: These assignments are based in New Delhi and Jaipur. They form the accounts discipline within the North Zone's Young Professional engagement.
  • Legal: This discipline has assignments in New Delhi, Ambala, Chandigarh, Bikaner and Shimla. The location list covers separate offices under this shared notice.
  • Administration and Human Resources: The notice places these roles at KGB in New Delhi, Ambala Cantonment and Jammu. Check the office attached to your preferred assignment when choosing the recruitment post.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Contract period: You start with a 1-year engagement. KVIC may extend it for a further 2 years after assessing your performance and its continuing work needs; each extension needs a fresh contract.
  • Consultant status: You work as an individual consultant under the terms of your agreement. The engagement gives you no right to absorption, regularisation or a permanent position in KVIC or the ministry.
  • Working arrangements: You follow the working hours of regular KVIC employees. The notice does not provide extra payment for work beyond normal hours or on holidays.
  • Leave: You can take 8 days of leave during a year of consultancy. Unused leave does not carry into the next contract year, and intervening weekends or government holidays do not count against this allowance.
  • Confidentiality: Keep information received during the assignment confidential. Publishing material based on that information needs KVIC approval, and you must follow the commission's rules while handling official work.
  • Insurance: You are responsible for arranging and paying for insurance needed during the contract, including suitable life or health cover. The commission does not take over this responsibility.
  • Conduct: KVIC can discontinue services if your work is unsatisfactory or conflicts with its interests. Honesty and protection of official information are conditions of the assignment.
  • Ending the contract: The notice refers to 1 month's notice for termination by KVIC or by the Young Professional. It also contains inconsistent wording about prior notice, so clarify the applicable clause before signing your contract.
  • Joining from another organisation: Serving government or public-sector staff can join only after their present employer formally relieves them.
  • Recruitment changes: KVIC may change the advertised conditions or cancel the process. Any amendments will appear on its website; the notice says a separate press advertisement will not follow.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse data in your assigned discipline.
  • Support project management and review scheme performance.
  • Contribute to start-up and innovation initiatives.
  • Prepare special studies, including feasibility assessments.
  • Monitor compliance and programme implementation.
  • Support training and development activities.
