Bank of Baroda Financial Literacy Centre Counsellor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Bank of Baroda (BoB), one of India's largest public sector banks, has published an advertisement dated 04 May 2026 to engage one FLC Counsellor at its Dhamtari Financial Literacy Centre in Chhattisgarh. The counsellor will work under the Regional Office, Dhamtari, and report to the Lead District Manager (LDM) or RSETI Director. This is an offline-only recruitment — you need to send a hard-copy application to the Regional Office. Retired bankers, BC coordinators, and RSETI faculty with the right experience are the main target group.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a graduate degree from a recognised university.
• Preference will be given if you also hold a Post Graduate degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Sociology, Psychology or Social Work.
• You should be well-conversant with the local language (Hindi/Chhattisgarhi).
• You must have a flair for teaching and basic computer knowledge.
• You should have sound knowledge of banking, insurance, investment, pension, law and finance.

Experience (any one)

• Ex-banker with minimum 5 years of experience in any Nationalised Bank, RRB or Private Bank, OR
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, NBFCs or Financial Institutions, OR
• Business Correspondent / BC-Coordinator with minimum 5 years of experience, OR
• Ex-RSETI Director with minimum 3 years experience, OR RSETI Faculty with minimum 5 years experience.

Domicile

• You should be a resident of Chhattisgarh, preferably from Dhamtari district itself.

Age Limit

• Maximum age at the time of appointment: 64 years (subject to good health).
• There is no minimum age mentioned, but you must have the required experience.

Salary

• Fixed consolidated remuneration: Rs. 25,000 per month.
• Conveyance reimbursement: up to Rs. 3,000/month (for fewer than 10 camps/month) or up to Rs. 5,000/month (for 10+ camps/month).
• Halting Allowance: Rs. 300 (more than 8 hours, no night stay) or Rs. 600 (with night stay).
• Travelling Expenses for training programs as per JMG/S-I officer rules.
• Statutory tax deductions will apply.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through an offline process:

1. Shortlisting of applications received at the Regional Office, Dhamtari.
2. Interview by a Panel which may include the Bank's LDM, NABARD DDM of the respective district and the RM/DRM of the Region.
3. Final selection by the Zonal Manager based on panel recommendations.

There is no written exam for this post.

• Run day-to-day activities of the Dhamtari FLC as per RBI guidelines on Financial Literacy Centres
• Conduct financial literacy camps on digital banking, savings, borrowing and government schemes
• Provide free counselling and debt management services to distressed borrowers
• Teach trainees of rural development and self-employment institutes about money management
• Arrange gram sabhas and awareness camps across Dhamtari district
• Spread awareness on PMJDY, APY, PMSBY, PMJBY and other social security schemes
• Maintain a register of beneficiaries with name, age, profession and banking status
• Submit monthly visit diary and tentative quarterly schedule to LDM/RSETI Director
