Anna University (one of Tamil Nadu's top technical universities) has opened one temporary Project Associate-I position in its Department of Biomedical Engineering. The role is part of a research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, titled "Development of Cost Effective Lifetime Enhanced Continuous Glucose Monitoring Electrochemical Sensors for Type I Diabetes Mellitus." This is a great opening for fresh post graduates who want hands-on research experience and a path towards an M.S. (by Research) or Ph.D. at Anna University.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a post graduate degree in a basic science or a professional course, and you must have been selected through a national eligibility test such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or a national-level exam conducted by central government departments or institutions.
• Experience (desirable): Two years of research experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Preferred background: Candidates with experience in funded projects, nanomaterials, biomedical devices, or sensor design are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 31,000 per month as fixed emoluments.
• You will also get 24% HRA on top, as per DST and Anna University norms.

Selection Process

Selection is simple and based on an interview:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened and only shortlisted candidates are called.
2. Interview: Final selection is done through a personal interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Work on the design and development of continuous glucose monitoring electrochemical sensors
• Handle lab experiments related to nanomaterials and micro-needle based sensor approaches
• Prepare and characterise biomedical device samples for the project
• Record and analyse research data and maintain proper lab documentation
• Assist the project investigator with progress reports and project deliverables
• Follow lab safety rules and project guidelines set by DST and Anna University
