Anna University CES Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Anna University, Chennai is hiring one Project Assistant at its Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) on the CEG campus. The post sits under a Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG) project that studies how fine and ultrafine particles released during biomining of legacy waste affect people, and what health risks they carry.

This is a temporary, project-linked post with a fixed monthly pay, not a regular university job. The project is led by Dr. R. Arulmozhi of CES. It suits a postgraduate in environmental engineering, environmental science, chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial safety or public health who wants to move into a PhD.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement runs for 26 months or until the project ends, whichever comes first.
• PhD willingness: You must be willing to register for a PhD under this project. This is part of the eligibility, not an optional extra.
• Related specialisations: If the interview panel finds no suitable candidate in the listed subjects, it may consider candidates from closely related specialisations who have applied.
• Desirable: A PG degree in one of the listed specialisations is marked as highly desirable.
• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
