IIM Trichy Corporate Engagement Executive Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, is hiring Corporate Engagement Executives for its Placement Office. This is a fixed-term contract role built around one goal: bringing more companies to recruit IIM Trichy's MBA students.

Each executive is given a set of recruiter sectors — such as BFSI, IT and Analytics, Manufacturing, Pharma, Healthcare and Logistics, FMCG and FMCD, Retail and E-commerce, Consulting and Media, Human Resources, and emerging recruiter segments — and works with the business development team and the student placement coordinators. You will be based at the main campus in Tiruchirappalli, but expect to travel 10 to 15 days a month across metro cities to meet talent managers.

The role suits someone who already knows campus placements, corporate HR, business development or B2B sales, and who enjoys turning cold leads into long-term recruiter relationships. An MBA or PGDM helps but is not mandatory.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract only: The post is purely contractual for a limited period, and no claim for regularisation can ever be made.
• Pay fixing: Your final consolidated pay within the advertised band is set by the Selection Committee and can be negotiated for strong candidates based on experience and qualification.
• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively is a mandatory requirement, not a preference.
• Desirable profile: Corporate experience in Tier I cities and prior work in a placement office (as a student or professional) are given preference, along with hands-on use of Excel or Google Sheets, a CRM tool and data visualisation tools.
• Relieving letter: You must give a relieving letter from your previous employer when you join.
• Eligibility date: Age, qualification and experience are all judged as on the closing date of the application.
• Experience relevance: Only post-qualification experience counts, and the Selection Committee decides whether it is relevant — so make sure your experience certificates show your designation, period and duties.
• Jurisdiction: Disputes fall under the courts at Tiruchirappalli or the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court.
