IIITDM Kancheepuram Support Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, an Institution of National Importance on the outskirts of Chennai, is hiring Support Staff on contract for its Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC). The centre runs under the Ministry of Education's Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, which trains college and university faculty in line with NEP 2020 — better teaching, online education, Indian languages and academic leadership.
This is an office and programme-support role, not a research or teaching post. Any graduate or diploma holder can walk in, but you will have an edge if you already know Tally, MS Office and Google tools and are comfortable with documentation, because the job mixes accounts, records, purchases and running the centre's training events.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: You will be appointed for six months. The term may be extended based on your performance, subject to UGC guidelines.
- Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
- Termination: The institute can end the appointment at any time before the term ends, and it may also choose not to fill the position at all.
- Canvassing: Any canvassing disqualifies you. The institute will not reply to interim queries either.
- Joining: If selected, bring self-attested copies along with the original certificates when you join.

Responsibilities
- Document the centre's activities and prepare reports
- Manage the MMC UGC web portal for the centre
- Keep track of stock and inventory
- Maintain the centre's accounts
- Prepare purchase indents and handle purchase-related work
- Keep the office tidy and decluttered
- Support the training programmes organised by the MMTTC
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Any degree or diploma in engineering/science/commerce/arts/others
Required Skills
Familiarity with accounting tools like Tally; familiarity with MS Office and Google tools; documentation skills
