Anna University Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The Department of Production Technology, Madras Institute of Technology Campus, Anna University has released a notice dated 11 June 2026 for a Project Assistant under the Chief Minister's Research Grant (CMRG), 2024-25. The project title is Neuro-Driven Lower Limb Exoskeleton for Restoring Mobility, sanctioned under Proceedings No. CMRG/3005/H3/2024/120. - M.E./M.Tech route: Medical Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, Industrial Automation and Robotics, Automobile, Automotive, Manufacturing, CIM, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Product Design, Power Electronics and Drives, Control System Engineering, Electrical Drives and Embedded Controls, Computer Science, Embedded System Technologies, IT, Applied Electronics or a closely relevant specialization.
- Closely relevant specialization: The interview committee may consider related specializations if no suitable candidate is found in the advertised specializations.
Desirable Qualification and Skills
- PG degree in the above specialization is highly desirable.
- Skills in CAD modelling, simulation, CAM, control systems, embedded hardware and sensors such as EEG, EMG and IMU.
- Programming exposure in MATLAB, Python or ROS.
- Experience in assistive or rehabilitation technology, neuro-signal processing and AI/ML/deep learning integration.
- Good problem-solving ability, interdisciplinary teamwork, empathy towards patient-centric applications and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Work on the neuro-driven lower limb exoskeleton research project

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in biomedical, mechatronics, robotics, mechanical, production, automobile, industrial, instrumentation, electronics, electrical, computer science, IT or closely relevant engineering specializations.
Preferred Qualification
PG degree in the listed specialization is highly desirable.
