AIIMS Jodhpur Research Coordinator Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur is engaging a Research Coordinator (Non-Medical) for an extramural study run by its Department of Community Medicine and Family Medicine. The project examines genetic and epigenetic markers linked to silicosis susceptibility among mine workers in Jodhpur, bringing laboratory science, community research and field coordination into one role. This is a project-based engagement under the Principal Investigator, so it suits researchers who are comfortable connecting participant-facing work with careful scientific data handling.
The coordinator will work within a study that combines genetics, clinical research and biostatistics. Participant recruitment and field visits are central to the project, while the study team also needs clean data collection and sound interpretation. Your work will help connect what is observed in mining communities with the project's scientific analysis, making accuracy and respectful communication especially important.
Silicosis research involves people whose health risks are linked to occupational exposure, so the study depends on consistent field coordination and dependable participant records. You will be part of a team led from the institute's community-medicine department, where clinical context and population-level evidence are considered together. The coordinator acts as a practical link between field activity and analysis, helping the investigators keep the research organised as it moves from recruitment to interpretation.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project tenure: The first appointment is for one year. It may be extended for a further period based on your performance and the project's needs, and it remains co-terminus with the project.
- No permanent claim: This engagement does not give you a right to permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur or continuation in another project.
- Post numbers: The Principal Investigator may increase or reduce the positions according to the study's requirements.
- Qualification standard: Educational, professional and technical credentials must be full-time awards from a recognised board or university.
- Experience counting: Only work completed after gaining the minimum required qualification will be treated as relevant experience.
- Current government staff: If you work for a government body or public-sector undertaking, bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
- Travel costs: AIIMS Jodhpur will not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in interview.
- Conduct: Canvassing in any form will disqualify your candidature, and incomplete applications can be rejected.
The institute treats this as a purely temporary research assignment, with continuation tied to the project and your performance. You should view the role as a defined research engagement rather than a route to a regular AIIMS appointment.
