KVS PGT and TGT Recruitment 2026: Overview

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Air Force Station, Jodhpur, a school run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), is holding a walk-in interview to build a panel of contract teachers for the 2026-27 academic session. The school is looking for a PGT in Physics and TGTs in English and Science.

These are part-time contractual engagements, not regular KVS posts. Selected teachers are placed on a panel and called when the school needs them during the session. A panel does not promise a fixed number of posts.

If you hold a B.Ed. with the right subject degree and can teach in both Hindi and English, this is a good way to get classroom experience in a central government school in Jodhpur.

Posts and Disciplines

• PGT (Physics): a post-graduate teacher post for senior secondary Physics; postgraduates in allied fields such as Electronics or Applied Physics are also considered.
• TGT (Science): a trained graduate teacher post for Science in the middle and secondary classes, meant for life-science and chemistry graduates.
• TGT (English): a trained graduate teacher post for English in the middle and secondary classes. The notice lists this post but its qualification table does not spell out the English subject combination, so check the KVS norms before you go.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement: Purely contractual, for the 2026-27 session only, and subject to KVS rules.
• Language: You must be able to teach in both Hindi and English medium; this applies to every post.
• Computer skills: Knowledge of computer applications is a plus but not compulsory.
• Relaxation: The school may relax qualifications only with the competent authority's approval, and only if enough qualified candidates do not turn up.
• Pay: The pay follows the KVS norms for contractual teachers, which are published on the KVS website.
• Travel: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• More than one post: If you want to try for two posts, submit a separate application for each.

Application Submission Notes

Before interview day, you must register on the KVS Samvida Sathi portal (samvida-sathi.kvs.gov.in) and download your filled application form. Registration is compulsory.

On the day, report at the school near Polo Ground, Air Force Station, Ratanada, Jodhpur by 9:00 AM with the downloaded form, your original certificates and self-attested photocopies. Forms are not accepted after the reporting time. For queries, you can call the school on 0291-2940287.
