All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur has released a walk-in notice for 1 field staff post under Principal Investigator Dr. Vidhi Jain, Additional Professor, Department of Microbiology, for the project "Development of Innovative Diagnostics for Fungal Diseases in India: Addressing a Neglected Public Health Concern". The role involves field work in villages across Rajasthan, coordinating with ASHA workers for community outreach and sample collection, plus handling specimens and PCR-based lab work back at AIIMS. This is a good opportunity for lab technicians or life-science graduates who want field research experience in a public-health diagnostics project, and candidates with experience in molecular techniques or prior field work are preferred.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: 12th in Science with a Diploma (MLT/B.Sc MLT) and 5 years' experience in relevant subject/field/data collection, OR a three-year graduate degree in a relevant subject with 2 years' experience.
• Desirable: Experience in field work or molecular techniques.
• Nature of Post: This is a purely temporary, contractual position for 9 months, with no claim to permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur or continuation in any other project.

Age Limit

• You should be under 30 years of age.
• Age Relaxation: Some age concession may be given for experience in other research projects, considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Age, qualification and experience will be considered as on the last date of the advertisement.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 20,000 plus 20% HRA per month (about Rs. 24,000 total).
• This is a project-funded, temporary post for a duration of 9 months, and the salary is a fixed consolidated sum with no other benefits.

Selection Process

Selection is only through a walk-in interview — there is no written exam for this post.
