AIIMS Jodhpur Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur is building the local team for an ICMR-funded neonatal research project led by its Department of Neonatology. The study compares two approaches to delayed cord clamping and follows the neurodevelopment of babies born at or beyond 35 weeks. AIIMS Jodhpur is one of four study sites, but this notice recruits staff only for the Jodhpur centre.
The engagement is project-based and temporary, with the scientist supporting research quality and the nurses working close to mothers and newborns. This is a practical clinical-research opportunity: you may work across participant recruitment, consent, hospital follow-up, records and coordination with the obstetric and neonatal teams. Flexible hours are part of the assignment because participant enrolment must continue around the clock.
Posts and Disciplines
- Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical): a research coordination role for candidates from paediatrics, neonatology, nursing, public health, epidemiology or clinical research. The work connects bedside recruitment with accurate study records and project-office reporting.
- Project Nurse III: a clinical research nursing role based around the labour room, maternity wards and neonatal care areas. Rotational and night duties are central to this post because eligible mother-infant pairs must be identified when deliveries occur.
Post-wise Duties
Project Research Scientist I
You will guide the research nurses during subject recruitment, check the completeness and accuracy of study data, and keep the project database and reports current. You may also visit other research sites when coordination is needed, with admissible travel support handled separately by the project.
Project Nurse III
You will screen mothers and babies in the clinical areas, explain the study, obtain informed consent and maintain clear recruitment and follow-up records. You will coordinate with obstetric and neonatal teams so that enrolment and in-hospital follow-up fit safely around routine patient care.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial engagement: both roles begin with a short initial appointment and may be extended in blocks after a performance review. The role ends with the project and does not create a claim to a regular AIIMS post.
- Role tenure: the scientist requirement runs longer than the nursing requirement, subject to project need, funding and satisfactory work.
- Working hours: nurses must be ready for rotational and night shifts; all selected staff should be prepared for flexible project schedules.
- Travel: the scientist may need to visit collaborating research sites. Travel support for those approved visits is separate, but no travel support is offered merely for attending the walk-in.
- Employer clearance: applicants already working in government or a public-sector organisation must bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
Application Submission Notes
Bring the completed prescribed application form and bio-data to the Model Early Intervention Centre on the second floor of the OPD Building, AIIMS Jodhpur, Basni Phase II, Jodhpur 342005. Reporting opens in the morning and closes before the interview begins, so reaching the venue early will give you time for document checking.
You must appear in person with all relevant originals and one self-attested photocopy set. The notice says that missing qualification or experience proof makes the application incomplete, so check that your certificates cover every claim made in the form.
Responsibilities
- Support screening and recruitment of eligible study participants
- Collect informed consent and study information accurately
- Keep participant, follow-up, and project records complete
- Enter and check research data in the project database
- Coordinate with obstetric, neonatal, and research teams
- Prepare project updates and support routine office records
- Work flexible or rotational shifts when participant enrolment requires it
