About This Job
UIDAI is hiring 1 Accountant at its Head Office in New Delhi on a deputation (Foreign Service terms) basis. Only serving government employees are eligible — private candidates cannot apply. The last date to submit your application through proper channel is 08 May 2026. Salary is in Pay Matrix Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 – Rs. 92,300 per month) under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Accountant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is the statutory body established under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016. UIDAI is responsible for developing policy, procedures, and systems for issuing Aadhaar numbers and performing authentication under the Act. The vacancy circular was originally issued on 02 February 2026, and the closing date has now been extended to 08 May 2026. This post is to be filled entirely through deputation — serving officers from Central/State Government, PSUs, and Autonomous Organisations may apply through their parent cadre.
Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualification — Option A (Central Government Officers):
- Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department
- OR officers with 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100)
- OR officers with 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100) of the 7th CPC
- Note: You must have completed at least 5 years of government service in total to be eligible
Essential Qualification — Option B (State/UT/PSU Officers):
- Officers from State Government / UT Government / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Organisation holding regular posts in corresponding grades with requisite experience
- For PSU applicants, the equivalent grade for UIDAI Level-5 is: Non-Executive Grade, Rs. 27,500–60,000 (Revised) or Rs. 12,520–23,440 (Pre-revised)
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in Commerce (B.Com)
- OR Graduate in any stream with 3 years of experience in account-related work in Government organisations
Desirable:
- Basic skills for working in a computerised office environment
Other Conditions:
- Private candidates are not eligible — this post is strictly for serving government/PSU/autonomous organisation employees
- Minimum residual service of 3 years must remain as on the closing date of application
- Officers holding the analogous post in the parent organisation will be preferred
- Once you apply, you cannot withdraw your candidature subsequently
Age Limit
- Maximum age: Below 56 years as on the closing date (08 May 2026)
- No minimum age is specified beyond the service eligibility requirements
Salary
- Pay Matrix Level-5 under the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Basic pay: Rs. 29,200 – Rs. 92,300 per month
- Salary, allowances, medical benefits, travelling allowance, and joining time shall be as per UIDAI Regulations, 2020
- Medical facility: Option to continue Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) from parent organisation, OR avail Medical Reimbursement Scheme of UIDAI
- Residential accommodation may be available at Aadhaar Housing Complex, DDU Marg, New Delhi
- If your parent organisation has a different pay structure or DA pattern, only your pay shall be protected — perquisites will not be transferred
Selection Process
Selection is based on merit among eligible officers who apply through proper channel:
- Application Screening: Applications forwarded by the parent organisation through proper channel are screened for eligibility
- Merit-based Selection: Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on their ACRs/APARs and service record
- Document Verification: ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary, are required
Note: There is no written examination. Officers preferred are those holding analogous posts in their parent organisation.
How to Apply
- Get the application form from the original vacancy circular at uidai.gov.in (Annex I of VC ID 19636).
- Fill in the application form completely with your personal and service details.
- Attach the forwarding certificate (Annex II) signed by your forwarding authority, along with cadre clearance.
- Attach attested copies of your ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years (attested by an officer of Under Secretary rank or above).
- Submit the complete application packet through proper channel (your parent cadre controlling authority must forward it).
- Send the application by post to: Director (HR), Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), 4th Floor, Bangla Sahib Road, Behind Kali Mandir, Gole Market, New Delhi – 110 001.
- Ensure the application reaches UIDAI by 08 May 2026. Applications received after the deadline or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions including maintenance of accounts books and financial records
- Prepare budget estimates, expenditure statements, and financial reports for the organisation
- Process bills, vouchers, and claims in accordance with government financial rules
- Manage reconciliation of accounts with PAO/bank statements on a regular basis
- Assist in internal audit, compliance checks, and preparation of audit replies
- Operate computerised accounting systems and government financial software
- Maintain service books, salary registers, and other statutory financial records

The period of deputation is 5 years. However, your lending organisation may relieve you for a lesser period (subject to a minimum of 3 years) as per its policy. During the deputation, your salary and service conditions will be governed by UIDAI Regulations 2020.
