The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is hiring 28 interns at its Technology Centre in Bengaluru. If you hold a B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Des, M.Des, B.Math, B.Stat, M.Math, or M.Stat degree (or are currently pursuing one), this is a great chance to work on real projects at the organisation behind Aadhaar. You can earn a monthly stipend of up to Rs. 50,000. The last date to apply is 15 April 2026.
UIDAI Intern Recruitment 2026 — 28 Posts
UIDAI, established under the Aadhaar Act 2016, operates under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). It is responsible for Aadhaar enrolment, authentication, and the entire Aadhaar lifecycle. The Technology Centre in Bengaluru is the core tech hub where interns get hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML, Data Science, Full Stack Development, and UI/UX Design. This round offers 28 internship positions across five qualification streams.

Note: UIDAI may increase or decrease the number of interns in each discipline based on requirements.
Who Can Apply?
- Indian citizens studying at any recognised university or institution in India or abroad
- You need a minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA 6.0/10) in all prior semester exams
- B.Tech/BE students: Must be in Final or Pre-final year (3rd/4th year), or have completed graduation within the last 6 months
- M.Tech/ME students: Must be in Final or Pre-final year (1st/2nd year), or have completed post-graduation within the last 6 months
- B.Des/M.Des students: Same criteria as above for their respective levels
- B.Math/B.Stat students: Must have appeared in final exam or completed graduation within the last 6 months
- M.Math/M.Stat students: Must have appeared in final exam or completed post-graduation within the last 6 months
Possessing the essential qualifications does not automatically guarantee an interview. If UIDAI receives a large number of applications, it may shortlist candidates based on merit or organisational requirements.
Stipend
- B.Tech/BE (Technical Graduate): Rs. 30,000 per month
- M.Tech/ME (Technical Post Graduate): Rs. 40,000 per month
- B.Des (Design Graduate): Rs. 30,000 per month
- M.Des (Design Post Graduate): Rs. 40,000 per month
- B.Math/B.Stat (Graduate - Other fields): Rs. 20,000 per month
- M.Math/M.Stat (Post Graduate - Other fields): Rs. 30,000 per month
The stipend is paid monthly, subject to a satisfactory report from your supervisor (not below the rank of Director). Interns pursuing 6 months or longer tenure are preferred.
Application Fee
- No application fee is required. The application is completely free for all candidates.
Selection Process
- Application Screening: UIDAI will review all applications received through the Google Form along with your CV and supporting documents
- Interview (if required): The concerned Deputy Director General (DDG) of the Technology Centre may form a Selection Committee and conduct a personal or virtual interview
- Final Selection: The DDG's decision on the suitability of a candidate is final and binding
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. There is no written exam — selection is based on your application, qualifications, and interview performance.

- Attach your CV and supporting documents as required in the form
- If you are currently enrolled in an institute, your application must be sponsored/forwarded by your institution (NOC from HOD/Principal as per Annexure C of the Internship Policy)
- Pass-out applicants do not need an NOC from their institution
- Selected candidates will be asked to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Department before the offer letter is issued
Important Dates

- Internship Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, maximum 12 months (preference for 6+ months)
Responsibilities
- Work on technology projects at UIDAI Technology Centre, Bengaluru under the guidance of an experienced mentor
- Assist in application development, data engineering, or design tasks depending on your discipline
- Follow assigned KPIs set at the beginning of the internship tenure (evaluated bi-monthly for tenures over 4 months)
- Prepare and submit a project report on the work done at the end of the internship
- Maintain confidentiality of all documents, reports, and information received during the internship
- Sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with UIDAI before starting
- Furnish a "No Demand Certificate" to UIDAI after completing the project along with soft and hard copies of the project report
- Bring your own laptop for carrying out assigned work (desktop may be provided in some cases)
