UIDAI is inviting applications for 1 Assistant Accounts Officer post at its Regional Office in Bengaluru, to be filled purely on deputation (Foreign Service terms). Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Assistant Accounts Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which issues Aadhaar numbers and manages authentication under the Aadhaar Act, 2016, has invited applications to fill 1 Assistant Accounts Officer post at its Regional Office in Bengaluru on a deputation basis. This is not open to fresh candidates or private applicants — only serving government officers with the prescribed accounts experience and pay level are eligible. UIDAI may change the number of vacancies at its discretion at any point during the process.
Who Can Apply?
- Eligible Cadre: Officers from the Central Government holding an analogous post on a regular basis in their parent cadre/department; OR with 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400); OR with 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400).
- Alternate Route: Officers from State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Organisations holding a regular post in the corresponding grade with the requisite experience can also apply.
- Professional Qualification: You must be a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or MBA (Finance); OR have passed the SAS/equivalent examination of the organised Accounts Cadre of Central/State Government; OR have completed Cash & Accounts Training organised by ISTM; OR have at least 5 years' experience handling accounts-related work.
- Desirable: Basic computer skills for working in a computerised office environment.
- Minimum Government Service: Only officers who have completed at least 5 years of government service may apply, and you must have a minimum residual service of 3 years as on the closing date.

- You should be below 56 years of age as on the closing date for applications (29 September 2026).
Salary
- This post is at Pay Level-8 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay range of Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month.
- During deputation, your pay, allowances and other terms will be governed by the UIDAI (Salary, Allowances and Other Terms and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2020.
- If your parent organisation's pay structure is different from the Central Government's, only your pay will be protected — not other perquisites — as per DoPT guidelines.
Selection Process
UIDAI will screen and shortlist applications based on eligibility, cadre clearance and service record:
- Document Screening: Your application, cadre clearance and APARs (last 5 years) will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria.
- Selection by UIDAI: Officers meeting the eligibility criteria and forwarded through proper channel will be considered for selection on deputation.
How to Apply
- Fill in the application in the format given in Annexure I of the notification.
- Get a certificate from your forwarding/reporting officer in the format given in Annexure II, along with cadre clearance from your cadre controlling authority.
- Attach attested copies of your ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, each page signed by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary (or equivalent).
- Route your complete application through proper channel — your parent department or organisation must forward it on your behalf.
- Send the complete application to Director (HR), UIDAI, Regional Office, 3rd Floor, South Wing, Khanija Bhavan, No. 49, Race Course Road, Bengaluru – 560 001 before 29 September 2026.
Applications received after the last date, or incomplete applications, will not be considered. Once you apply, you cannot withdraw your candidature later.

Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping for the UIDAI Regional Office
- Prepare and check bills, vouchers and payment documents
- Maintain budget records and monitor expenditure against allocations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit reports
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors during inspections
- Ensure compliance with government accounting rules and financial regulations
- Support office administration using computerised accounting systems
