UIDAI Section Officer (Deputation) 2026

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) wants to fill 1 post of Section Officer at its Regional Office in Guwahati, on a deputation (foreign service) basis. This post is open only to serving Central Government, State/UT Government, PSU, or Autonomous Organisation officers — private candidates cannot apply. The last date to send your complete application is 28 September 2026. The post carries Pay Matrix Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month), and you must be below 56 years of age as on the closing date.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Section Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

UIDAI, the body that issues Aadhaar numbers under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, has invited applications on deputation basis for the post of Section Officer at its Regional Office in Guwahati. UIDAI runs regional offices across the country to manage Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and authentication for residents, and each office needs experienced administrative officers to run day-to-day operations. Only officers already serving in the Central Government, a State/UT Government, a PSU, or an Autonomous Organisation can apply — this is not open recruitment for the general public or fresh graduates. The deputation period is for 5 years, though the lending organisation can call the officer back earlier, subject to a minimum of 3 years. Eligible officers with the required cadre clearance are encouraged to apply through the proper channel before the deadline, since UIDAI can withdraw this circular at any time.

Who Can Apply?

Route 1: Central Government Officers

• You should be holding an analogous post (Section Officer, Pay Level 8) on a regular basis in your parent cadre/department
• OR you should have completed 3 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400)
• OR you should have completed 5 years of regular service in Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400)

Route 2: State/UT Government, PSU, or Autonomous Organisation Officers

• You should be holding a regular post in the corresponding/equivalent grade, with the requisite experience
• PSU officers (Level 8 equivalent): E-2 Grade/Deputy Manager, Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000 (revised)
• Bank officers (Level 8 equivalent): Scale-II, Rs. 53,600 - 1,02,900 (revised)
• LIC officers (Level 8 equivalent): Rs. 64,820 - 93,960 (revised)

You need at least 5 years of total government service to apply, plus a minimum residual service of 3 years as on the closing date. Since this post is filled on deputation basis, private/non-government candidates are not eligible to apply, and once you apply you cannot withdraw your candidature later. Officers holding an analogous post in UIDAI itself may be preferred, and your application will only be forwarded if your cadre controlling authority can spare your services — applications from officers whose services cannot be spared will not be forwarded.

Desirable (Preferred) Experience

• Experience in Administration, Legal, Establishment, Human Resource, Finance, Accounts, or Budgeting
• Experience in Vigilance, Procurement, Planning and Policy, or Project implementation and monitoring
• Experience in E-Governance, plus basic skills for working in a computerised office environment

Age Limit

• You should be below 56 years of age as on 28 September 2026 (the closing date for applications).
• You need a minimum residual service of 3 years as on the closing date to be considered.

Salary

• The post carries Pay Matrix Level 8 of the 7th Central Pay Commission — Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month.
• Your pay, allowances, and joining time will be governed by the UIDAI (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2020 and the UIDAI (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2020.
• Your leave will be regulated as per the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972.
• If you come from an organisation with a dissimilar pay structure, only your pay will be protected (not other perquisites), as per DoPT norms.
• You can continue availing CGHS medical benefits from your parent organisation, or opt for UIDAI's Medical Reimbursement Scheme.

How to Apply

1. Get the application format (Annex I) and forwarding certificate format (Annex II) from the official circular.
2. Fill in your details and route the form through your department/cadre controlling authority — direct applications are not accepted.
3. Ask your forwarding officer to complete Annex II, including your cadre clearance.
4. Attach attested copies of your ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary.
5. Send your complete application to Director (HR), UIDAI Regional Office, Guwahati, Block-V, First Floor, HOUSEFED Complex, Beltola-Basistha Road, Dispur, Guwahati - 781 006.
6. Make sure your complete application reaches UIDAI by 28 September 2026 — late or incomplete applications will not be considered. UIDAI reserves the right to withdraw this circular at any time, without assigning any reason.
