Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Assistant Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a Grant-in-Aid institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is one of the country's leading cancer care, research, and education institutions. It has invited candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 1 Assistant Research Fellow post at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Parel, Mumbai. The position is attached to the project "Integration of Cervical Cancer Screening with HPV Self Sampling into Routine HIV Health Care Services Among Women Living with HIV In Maharashtra: An Implementation Research Mixed Methods Study" (Project A/c. No. 110047). This project aims to make cervical cancer screening simpler and more accessible for women living with HIV across Maharashtra by introducing HPV self-sampling into routine HIV healthcare services. The post is initially for six months and may be extended depending on project requirements and performance. No written application is needed — you can walk in directly with your documents on the interview date, which makes this a quick opportunity if you already meet the qualification criteria and want to work on an important public health research initiative.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need a BAMS, BHMS, or BUMS degree along with a Master's in Public Health or a PG Diploma in Clinical Research (both mandatory).
  • Experience: You must have at least 1 year of experience implementing public health programs.
  • Certificates: All required course certificates must be complete and in hand — TMC has clearly stated that candidates should appear only if their certifications are fully finished and available.
  • Only attend the interview if you already hold all required course certificates — incomplete qualifications will not be considered.

Age Limit

  • The upper age limit for this post is 40 years.
  • No separate age relaxation for reserved categories is mentioned in this notice, so all candidates are expected to meet the same age criterion.

Salary

  • The selected candidate will get a starting salary of Rs. 60,000 per month.
  • This is a consolidated remuneration for the project post; no separate allowances such as HRA or DA are mentioned in the notice.
  • Since the post is project-funded, continuation of pay beyond the initial six months will depend on the project's funding cycle and performance review.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a walk-in interview:

  1. Document Screening: Bring your bio-data, passport-size photo, PAN card copy, Aadhaar card copy, and original certificates with attested copies for verification at the venue. Candidates whose documents don't match the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to proceed further.
  2. MCQ Test (if needed): If a large number of candidates turn up for the interview, TMC will conduct a short MCQ test first to shortlist candidates before the final interview round.
  3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on the spot by the selection panel, which will assess your qualification, experience, and suitability for the research role.

Internal candidates already working on a TMC project must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current HOD or Principal Investigator before attending the interview.

  3. Carry your bio-data, a recent passport-size photograph, and photocopies of your PAN card and Aadhaar card.
