NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS), the wholly owned consultancy arm of NABARD, is hiring Associate Project Consultants for its Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Interest Subvention Scheme at NABARD Head Office, Mumbai. This is project-based contract staff work, not a regular bank job, and it suits IT professionals who want to work on a live rural-finance system.

The project runs the DAY-NRLM Interest Subvention Management System — a web platform where Regional Rural Banks and Cooperative Banks file their quarterly interest subvention claims under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission. NABARD's regional and head offices then check, approve and track those claims online. The system replaces the old spreadsheet-and-paper process, so you will sit between the banks, the software team and NABARD, keeping claims moving and fixing issues as they come up.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: You are hired for 11 months; the term may be extended based on project needs and your performance, or end with the project itself.
• Pay is negotiable within the band: The final consolidated professional fee depends on your experience, qualification and last drawn salary, and tax is deducted at source.
• Preference: Mumbai-based candidates get preference; the notice also states a preferred age band, which is a preference rather than a cut-off.
• Posting and travel: The post is based in Mumbai, but you can be posted anywhere in India as the project needs and may have to travel. NABCONS does not provide accommodation.
• Termination: NABCONS can end the contract at any time; normally it gives one month's notice.

• No side work: You cannot take up any other job, assignment or business while on this contract.
