Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), a grant-in-aid deemed university under the Ministry of Education, is engaging an Infrastructure Development and Support Consultant for its Mumbai campus. This is a senior technical assignment for someone who understands how public institutions plan, approve and deliver civil works. The assignment suits a civil engineering professional who has worked at Executive Engineer level or above in CPWD or an equivalent organisation. TISS expects practical command of public-works manuals, procurement procedures, contracts and large institutional or residential projects. Your work will combine desk review with site monitoring, agency coordination and support for the institute's own engineering team.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial contract runs for one year and may be extended when your performance and the institute's need justify it. The appointment does not create a claim to a regular university post.
• Reserved-category access: The position is unreserved, while people from reserved categories can also compete on the same terms.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the basic conditions does not automatically bring an interview call. TISS may shortlist when it receives more suitable applications than it can interview.
