THSTI Chief Clinical Portfolio Management Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, has invited applications for 1 Chief Clinical Portfolio Management position at its Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) centre. THSTI is located at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad and works on translational research to improve human health. This is a senior leadership role for experienced clinical research professionals who want to lead clinical trial operations at a premier national institution. The notification number is THS-C/RN/05/2026.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1: Medical Professionals

• Qualification: You must have MBBS, BDS, or an equivalent medical professional qualification from a recognized university.
• Experience: You need at least 12 years of work experience in clinical project management and/or drug development.

Option 2: Postgraduate in Science/Health

• Qualification: You must have a postgraduate degree in a Science or health-related discipline.
• Experience: You need at least 15 years of work experience in clinical project management, monitoring, and/or drug development.

Mandatory for Both Options

• You must have significant experience managing clinical trials or public health projects in a recognized organization such as an academic clinical trials unit, CRO, pharmaceutical company, biotechnology company, or device company.
• You should have experience leading or directing a clinical study or R&D team.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 55 years (as on 10 April 2026, the closing date of application).
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 60 years).
• OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 58 years).
• PwBD (UR): 10 years relaxation, PwBD (OBC): 13 years, PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years.
• Central Government servants: 5 years relaxation.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation equal to years of defence service plus 3 years (minimum 6 months attested service required).

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 2,11,200 per month.
• This is a project-based position, so salary is consolidated without separate allowances.

Selection Process

• Lead the clinical trial and studies operations function at CDSA with overall responsibility for portfolio oversight, project management, quality monitoring, and clinical operations.
• Oversee end-to-end management of clinical trials and studies across the entire CDSA portfolio, including project planning, budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage development and implementation of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and systems for clinical trial conduct and reporting.
• Handle stakeholder engagement by serving as the key point of contact for sponsors, investigators, regulators, and external collaborators.
• Monitor portfolio performance through defined metrics and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Assist with training initiatives in clinical research operations, GCP, and regulatory requirements, and mentor team members.
• Prepare and review strategic inputs into protocols, regulatory documents, and study reports while ensuring compliance with CDSCO, ICMR, GCP, and international regulatory standards.
• Work towards building inspection readiness and ensuring compliance with regulatory, GCP, and audit requirements across all studies.
