Tezpur University Project Scientist Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tezpur University, a Central University established by an Act of Parliament, has announced 1 anticipated temporary Project Scientist position in the Department of Energy. The post is under a BIRAC-sponsored research project titled "Developing a Climate Resilient Technology Utilizing the Indigenous Plant Growth Promoting Microbes for Growing Vegetables in the Rice Fallow Land of Assam," led by Prof. Rupam Kataki as Principal Investigator. The appointment runs initially till 31 March 2027 and may be extended based on your performance and the project's progress.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in Science, Technology, or Agricultural Science, plus a PhD in a relevant or aligned field, with at least 3 publications.
• Preferred: Research experience related to the project and a strong research mindset.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 35 years old as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated emolument of Rs. 62,500 per month (fixed).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done through the following stage:

1. Document Verification and Interview: Appear before the Interview Board with original and self-attested photocopies of your mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificates, publications, and a signed CV.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. If you are currently employed, you must bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer.
