C-DAC CINE Project Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is hiring for its Centre in North East (CINE) in Guwahati. This is the JIT October 2026 cycle, and it covers every level of project staff — from fresher Project Associates and experienced Project Engineers up to Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers, plus a few office and support roles. All posts are contractual on a consolidated pay, tied to C-DAC's projects in areas such as VLSI, quantum computing, AI/ML, full stack development and cyber security. Almost every post is based in Guwahati, with one Project Engineer role placed in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate (Fresher and Experienced): entry-level project roles in quantum computing, VLSI design, hardware system design, software development and full stack development.
• Project Engineer (Experienced): the largest group, spread across full stack development, AI and machine learning, VLSI and FPGA design, PCB design, embedded systems, electronics hardware, network and cyber security, mobile app development and quantum computing.
• Project Engineer PE 7 (J&K): a web developer role posted at Srinagar rather than Guwahati.
• Senior Project Engineer: senior technical roles in full stack and software development, software systems, system architecture, AI/ML, PCB design and electronics hardware; one post (SPE 5) is a trainer role in Education and Training.
• Project Manager: leadership roles for people with a background in software systems, system, security or microservices architecture, enterprise software development, system administration or solution architecture.
• Project Officer: non-technical roles in the Director's Office, Purchase and PSO and Liaisoning.
• Project Support Staff and Project Technician: support posts in finance, administration, the Hindi cell and Education and Training.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The engagement runs for up to 3 years or until the project ends, whichever comes first. It can be extended based on your performance and the project's needs.
• No regular post: These are contract positions, so you get no claim to a permanent appointment in C-DAC.
• Transfer liability: C-DAC runs projects all over India, so you can be moved to another project or location anywhere in the country.
• Experience rules: Internships, academic projects, teaching and research during studies do not count as experience unless the post says so, and you need employer certificates showing period, salary and post held.
• Higher experience: The pay bracket shown is the starting pay for the minimum experience; if you have more experience within the bracket, C-DAC may offer extra increments.
• CGPA holders: If your university gives grades, you must show the percentage conversion certificate from the university along with your degree.
• Internal candidates: Current C-DAC staff need at least 2 years of service to apply, and selected staff join as fresh employees after resigning.
• Reservation: DoPT reservation rules apply, and ex-servicemen who meet the criteria can also apply.
• Interview travel: No TA/DA is paid for attending a written test or interview.
