Tezpur University Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Tezpur University, a Central University established by an Act of Parliament, has announced a walk-in interview for 1 temporary Project Associate-I position in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. The post is under a DBT-funded research project titled "Comparative genomic and functional analysis of multi-drug efflux pump homologs in Ralstonia solanacearum F1C1: Insights into pathogenesis and virulence in tomato and eggplant". The Principal Investigators are Prof. Suvendra Kumar Ray and Dr. Aditya Kumar. This is a research opportunity for postgraduates in life sciences who want hands-on experience in molecular biology, plant pathology, and bioinformatics. The project explores how bacterial pathogens cause disease in important crop plants — tomato and eggplant.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• M.Sc or M.Tech in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Genetics / Life Science from a recognised university

Desirable

• Experience in Computational Biology (sequence analysis, bioinformatics tools)

Other Conditions

• Candidates currently in employment or doing a PhD must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer or PhD supervisor on the day of the interview
• The position is open to candidates of any gender from anywhere in India

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the date of the interview (28 May 2026)

Salary

Selection Process
