RITES Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, is providing General Consultancy Services for the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project from Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar, and Kharkhoda. RITES has invited applications from retired Govt/PSU employees for two specialised expert positions on contract basis with negotiable remuneration. Who Can Apply?

Deputy Project Director / Electrification (1 post)

• Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering OR a combination of any sub-stream of basic Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
• Preferred: Retired/Voluntary retired IRSEE officer of Indian Railway or equivalent in other countries.
• Total Professional Experience: At least 20 years.
• Relevant Experience: 10+ years in handling Railway/metro/regional/sub-urban rail Electrification projects (procurement, bidding, evaluation, finalisation), with at least 5 years as In-charge or one level below in PMC/General Consultant/Construction Agency.
• OR 3+ years in JA Grade and above in Construction or RE department of Railway, OR JGM and above in Electrical Engineering in RITES/IRCON/RVNL/Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL or any Metro Rail Corporation. Additionally, must meet the hurdle criteria of 5 years in electrification projects in any grade.
• Preference: experience of MDB-financed projects.

Chief Contract and Infrastructure Expert (1 post)

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Total Professional Experience: At least 20 years.
• Relevant Experience: 10+ years in Project Management, Contract Management, and arbitration cases of Railway Infrastructure Projects in JAG or higher grade in Construction Department of Railways, OR as Joint General Manager and above in Civil Engineering Department of RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL/RRTS/any Metro Rail Corporation.
• Must meet the hurdle criteria of 5 years in construction of Railway line in any grade.
• Desirable: FIDIC contracts management experience, MDB-financed project experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 63 years as on 30 April 2026.
• Open only to retired Govt/PSU employees.

Salary

• Negotiable remuneration to be decided as per RITES company policy on approval of CV by the client.
• Engagement is on fixed remuneration contract basis.

Selection Process

1. Screening of CV: Applications are reviewed for eligibility based on qualification and experience.
2. Approval of CV by Client: Selected CVs are forwarded for client approval.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates verified before engagement.
4. Final Engagement: Appointment letter issued on contract basis subject to client clearance.

• Lead electrification or civil engineering deliverables for the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project
• Handle procurement strategy, preparation of bid documents, and evaluation of tenders
• Manage contracts, FIDIC clauses, and arbitration cases related to railway infrastructure
• Provide General Consultancy Services to the client on technical, contractual, and project management matters
• Mentor project teams and review specifications, drawings, and deliverables
• Liaise with Railway, RVNL, IRCON, and Metro Rail Corporations on inter-organisational matters
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective action
• Prepare periodic reports for the client and senior RITES management
