RITES Limited Senior Manager (Human Resource) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

RITES Limited, a Navratna Enterprise of the Government of India, has invited applications to fill 1 post of Senior Manager (Human Resource) on deputation basis. This vacancy circular (No. 14/26-D dated 13 July 2026) is meant for serving Railway officers at the Group-B/Junior Scale Gazetted level with HR-related work experience. The normal deputation tenure is 3 years, extendable based on requirement and performance, and the selected officer may be posted anywhere in India or abroad as needed. RITES provides engineering consultancy across railways, highways, ports, airports, urban infrastructure and metro projects, both in India and overseas. Bringing in a Senior Manager (Human Resource) with railway administrative experience helps RITES align its people practices with government HR frameworks while managing its diverse, project-based workforce.

Who Can Apply?

  • Eligibility: Serving Railway officers at the Group-B/Junior Scale Gazetted level, deputed through the Ministry of Railways/Zonal Railways/Production Units/RDSO.
  • Qualification: A degree or diploma in a relevant subject related to Human Resource Management.
  • Experience: You should have hands-on experience in human resource-related work.
  • Since this is a deputation posting and not an open recruitment, only serving officers currently working in Zonal Railways, Production Units or RDSO are eligible — fresh graduates or private-sector HR professionals cannot apply for this specific vacancy.
  • RITES regularly sources senior professionals on deputation from the Railway system, since deputation lets officers retain their railway service benefits while gaining exposure to PSU-level HR management.
  • RITES has also been granted a standing exemption from the usual cooling-off period for deputation, so officers already serving at RITES can continue without a break, subject to Railway Board approval.

Age Limit

  • Your age should not exceed 57 years as on the last date for submission of your application (27 August 2026).
  • This age ceiling ensures the selected officer has adequate time to complete the full deputation tenure, including possible extensions, before superannuation.

Salary

  • This post carries pay under 7th CPC Level 8 to Level 10 (Group-B/Junior Scale Gazetted) — approximately Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
  • You will also get deputation allowance, foreign allowance (if posted abroad), and other admissible allowances as per Railway Board guidelines.
  • RITES will also provide company/leased accommodation as per your eligibility.
  • Your deputation allowance is calculated as per Railway Board norms, giving you a meaningful pay enhancement over your regular railway salary. If your assignment requires an overseas posting, you will also receive a foreign allowance component.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a 100-mark merit list with the following weightage:

  1. Educational Qualification: 15 marks (10 marks for basic minimum eligibility + up to 5 marks for additional relevant qualifications)
  2. Vigilance/D&AR Record: 10 marks
  3. Service Performance (APAR, last 5 years): 25 marks
  4. Interview: 50 marks, based on domain knowledge, work experience, managerial ability and overall suitability

You need to score at least 60% marks to be considered for the final merit list, in order of your eligibility. The heaviest weightage — 50 out of 100 marks — goes to your interview, where the selection committee assesses your domain expertise, work experience, managerial capability and overall suitability for a corporate HR role. Your last five years of service record (APAR) and any vigilance history also factor significantly into your final score.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the Career section of rites.com and fill in the online registration form.
  2. Note the registration number the system generates after you submit your form.
  3. Print, sign, and attach your detailed CV in the prescribed Annexure-III format.
  4. Get your application forwarded by your administrative officer/HOD, along with vigilance/D&AR clearance and your last 5 years' APAR.
  5. Ensure your forwarded application reaches RITES within 45 days of this notice, that is by 27 August 2026.
  6. You may also email an advance copy of your application and CV to kapil.soni3@rites.com for their records.

Note that this is a two-step process: registering online is not enough on its own. Your application only becomes valid once it is formally forwarded by your department through the proper channel, along with all supporting documents, within the 45-day window.
