CWC Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview
Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, is hiring Assistant Managers and Junior Executives through Advertisement No. CWC/I-Manpower/DR/Rectt/2026/01. CWC runs scientific storage for farm produce and farm inputs, and also operates container freight stations, inland container depots, land customs stations and air cargo complexes for import-export cargo. These are regular jobs on a fixed pay scale with an all-India posting liability, and the drive has room for postgraduates, engineers, commerce graduates and science graduates alike.
The online test is run separately for each post, so pick the post that matches your degree. Assistant Manager posts are officer-level jobs with an interview after the test, while the Junior Executive posts are filled on test marks plus document checks.
Posts and Disciplines
- Assistant Manager (General): the generalist officer post, open to anyone with a two-year postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in any subject. Its test has no subject-knowledge paper.
- Assistant Manager (Technical): for B.Tech or B.E. graduates in agriculture, food technology, food science, food technology management or biotechnology. The subject paper covers areas such as agricultural process engineering and storage systems.
- Assistant Manager (Finance): for commerce graduates with three years of finance and accounts work, or any graduate who has cleared CA Intermediate or CMA Intermediate. Articleship does not count as experience.
- Assistant Manager (Engineering) - Civil: for B.E. or B.Tech Civil graduates; this post also carries backlog reserved seats from earlier cycles.
- Assistant Manager (Engineering) - Electrical: for B.E. or B.Tech graduates in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Assistant Manager (Engineering) - Mechanical: for B.E. or B.Tech Mechanical graduates.
- Junior Executive (General): open to graduates of any subject who can work with computer applications and MS Office; part of the posts form a horizontal quota for ex-servicemen.
- Junior Executive (Technical): for B.Sc graduates in agriculture, botany, zoology, biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, food science or chemistry, with working computer skills; this post also has an ex-servicemen quota.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Service bond: Every selected candidate signs a bond to serve CWC for at least two years, given at the time of joining; the bond amount for Assistant Managers is double that for Junior Executives.
- Probation: Everyone joins at the start of the pay scale and serves a probation period under the Corporation's regulations.
- Posting: This is an all-India cadre. You can be posted anywhere in India or even outside India, and new joiners must spend a set period at CWC field units such as warehouses, ICDs and CFSs. The annexed list of possible postings spans more than 30 states and UTs, but no place of posting is guaranteed.
- No final-year students: You must already hold your final mark sheet or certificate by the closing date. Grade-based results (SGPA/CGPA/OGPA) must be converted to a percentage, backed by the university's conversion certificate.
- Applying against unreserved posts: SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates may apply for unreserved posts where no seat is reserved for them, but they get no age or qualifying-mark relaxation in that case.
- Vacancies can change: CWC calls the advertised numbers tentative; they may go up or down with actual needs, and a wait list of up to the number of vacancies may be kept.
- Interview and document check in Delhi: Assistant Manager interviews and the Junior Executive document verification are both held in Delhi.
- Serving employees: If you work in a government office, PSU or bank, bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer to the interview or document check; without it your candidature is not considered.
- Disqualifications: Anyone earlier dismissed or compulsorily retired from government or PSU service, or convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, cannot be appointed.
Application Submission Notes
You can apply only through the IBPS-hosted online form linked on CWC's careers page as "Click here to apply online for Advertisement No. 2026/01"; no other mode is accepted. Before you start, keep scans of your photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration in English ready, because the form will not register without all four.
You may apply for more than one post if you qualify, but each post needs its own application and fee. If you submit twice for the same post, only your latest completed application is kept and the earlier fee is forfeited.
